Event Title:
Public Records in the University Environment -- What you need to know about California Public Records Act Requests and Records Management
Description:

As an integral part of this process, are you prepared to quickly locate all records

needed to respond to a California Public Records Act request?

Join us for an overview of UCSC best practices regarding records management and disclosure of public information. This workshop will clarify under what conditions records may be disclosed, campus processes for releasing public records, as well as considerations for pro-active records management.  You will learn technical and practical methods to comply with laws and University policies relative to management, access, and disclosure of records. Records custodians and managers with overall responsibility for their units are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
