This training will present the changes to UC's Benefits Eligibility Rules in compliance with Affordable Care Act provision Employer Shared Responsibility. New eligible categories of employees,--specifically, per diem employees, student employees, and those paid solely by agreement--if they work 30 hours on average per week, as well as new continuing eligibility requirements of the law may influence workforce management decisions going forward. We will cover new eligible categories of employees; new continuing eligibility requirements; measurement and stability periods; and go over employment scenarios. (Specific budget impacts and strategies will not be part of this training.)
